Simple cat run
This is really just a simple 4 frame run cycle, i used to have so much trouble on these! im hoping it comes out well cause tracing each frame can take up to 20 min a pop

, i made a reference for you!!
, I love how you word things and they was an amazing offer but I’ll slide here! Thank you for coming to help and I’ll consider the advice and put it towards my next animations! This has been my first time ever animating a run and I agree the fur should flow!
, it's on the same topic, but i noticed a few other things. for the things i like your art is very cute and for a 4 frame animations this is pretty smooth :).i like the red lines in the background, it adds a pop to the animation. the run is actually ok, but like rhapsody said the body is unnaturally still. usually, the body goes up and down a bit. same thing goes with the head (very cute :O) as it also goes up and down. now this is more of a suggestion but maybe the ears and fluff could flap a little if the cat is going big z o o m.
now onto the matter of legg. it's not horribly awful actually, i think it's pretty good!! the legs look stiff when the cat is running because the joins aren't really bending. with the fact that the body isn't really going up and down kinda makes the cat look like it's being held above water and the cat thinks its in the water and tries to swim in the air. (weird example i know)
a few extra things i noticed is in two frames, there are some tufts at the tail and they disappear. it can be a habit for animators (including me) to forget little details. sometimes they are unnecessary and not adding them in can be a big help. and the tail also looks kinda stiff as well. don't worry! i had trouble with this as well! think of the tail as a flappy noodle, cause it more just wiggles in the wind while it runs.
if you'd like, i can make an example to help you next time, even though my art skills and animating don't mix :,)
, don’t worry about it if you still wanna drop your advice you may unless you were gonna say the same thing :)
, i said me not you
, youre not wrong it helps me figure out where to position legs atleast when making animations
, somehow the body stays in the same formation without even bobbing or something a little, the legs instantly turn back to the original position after the last frame so its not really a run, but a loop of the legs going together.
may i offer constructive criticism? ^^
