, Nah, lifting up is literally one of the dumbest things you do when trying to throw a punch, when you do put weight into a punch usually your other arm swings back.
I think the big problem is the end, punches have a lot of force, in turn, it wouldn't follow through slowly like yours did, while the lift off of the fist was well executed, the follow through has to be just as fast. and then it usually comes to a complete stop before the person quickly pulls back as now they have stretched their muscle and have to retract it.
i think the left hand should be raised up as a block, and the other is to punch. Make the punches quick and light, but if you're going for a knockout, make sure to add more buildup
